As many impoverished families and persons keep increasing daily, Woodhall Capital foundation paid a visit to the Candlelight foundation soup kitchen in Lagos, to donate food for over 200 hungry persons including children and their parents to mark the children`s Day celebration.

The Candlelight Foundation which was established in 2017 to mitigate hunger through the soup kitchen in Nigeria has witnessed an incessant increase in poverty and hungry people thronging the hall to get food to eat,” said one of the directors.

Following the hunger endemic that is ravaging the country, many patrons or benefactors have come to depend on the foundation to survive from starvation and malnutrition. A foundation that feeds three times a week and opens the soup kitchen to feed the hungry at 11 am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday are also soliciting more help from donors to remember the poor at this critical time.

The Foundation has called for more donations to sustain the soup kitchen to continue their feeding of the hungry and empowering them with education for their children through the help of Woodhall Capital and Liberty Family foundation.

“empowering them with education for their children .”

The Candlelight Foundation recently notified the public that the foundation has relocated to the new place at 56 A, Adebola Street, Off Adeniran Ogunsanya, Surulere as the location has availed the opportunity to shelter homeless boys, and less advantaged boys and give them quality education in partnership with some schools in Lagos to curtail the rate of young boys becoming hoodlums and going into crime.

The candlelight foundation appeals to the public to join hands in training some of the kids abandoned and jettisoned by their parents without education as many of them will turn out to constitute a nuisance in the nearest future to society.
