The first half of 2026 has been a defining chapter for Woodhall Capital Foundation.

Across Nigeria and the United Kingdom, we have remained steadfast in our mission to empower leaders, strengthen communities, foster strategic partnerships, and create opportunities that transform lives. Through leadership development, youth empowerment, financial literacy, and strategic collaborations, we have continued to build a future driven by purpose, innovation, and sustainable impact.

Advancing Women’s Leadership Through Her Executive Edge

Our flagship women’s leadership initiative, Her Executive Edge, continued to equip female executives, entrepreneurs, and emerging leaders with the tools, networks, and confidence needed to excel in leadership and business.

This year, the programme successfully expanded across Lagos, Abuja, and London, offering transformative sessions on executive leadership, personal branding, entrepreneurship, resilience, wealth creation, and legacy building. Distinguished speakers and mentors shared valuable insights that inspired participants to pursue leadership with purpose and impact.

Raising the Next Generation Through GRIP

The Global Generation Rising in Purpose (GRIP) initiative continued to nurture Africa’s future leaders through mentorship, leadership development, and practical learning opportunities.

Highlights included the GRIP Campus Tour at Redeemer’s University and the GRIP Diaspora Series at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom. Through these engagements, students and young professionals explored topics such as purpose discovery, leadership, financial literacy, global opportunities, and diaspora engagement.

In H1 2026, GRIP achieved significant impact:

  • Reached over 1,850 participants
  • Supported 33+ direct beneficiaries
  • Facilitated 12+ internship opportunities
  • Operated across two countries

The Foundation is also laying the groundwork to expand GRIP to Obafemi Awolowo University, extending opportunities to even more young leaders across Nigeria.

Connecting the Diaspora to Africa’s Opportunities

Through the Coming Home to Opportunity initiative, the Foundation engaged African students and professionals at institutions including Cranfield University, Imperial College London, and Oxford University.

The conversations focused on shifting the narrative around returning to Africa; highlighting the growing opportunities across finance, entrepreneurship, innovation, and development while encouraging diaspora talent to play an active role in Africa’s future growth.

Investing in Economic Empowerment

Woodhall Capital Foundation continued its commitment to empowering women and entrepreneurs through targeted investments and partnerships.

Key initiatives included:

  • Sponsoring 20 scholarships for the Diary of a Naija Girl (DANG) Profitable Student Programme.
  • Donating ₦10 million to Funke Akindele’s Creative Blueprint Masterclass to support young women pursuing careers in Nigeria’s creative economy.

These investments reflect our belief that sustainable economic growth begins with equipping individuals with the knowledge, resources, and confidence to succeed.

Preparing for Our 10-Year Anniversary

As we prepare to celebrate a decade of impact, the Foundation launched the Grassroots NGO Programme Initiative, designed to identify and support high-impact community organizations.

Following a competitive review process involving 19 applicants, four organizations were shortlisted for final consideration:

  • Interbau Foundation
  • Lagos Food Bank Initiative
  • No Hunger Food Bank Initiative
  • Transcend Education Foundation

These organizations represent the type of grassroots leadership and community-driven innovation that aligns closely with our mission.

Strengthening Partnerships and Thought Leadership

Throughout the year, we deepened relationships across the public, private, and development sectors through executive engagements, strategic partnerships, and leadership conversations.

Our President, Moji Hunponu-Wusu, continued to champion conversations on governance, entrepreneurship, leadership, and Africa’s economic future through keynote addresses at the Cranfield Africa Impact Summit and Cambridge University Nigerian Society.

Looking Ahead

As we enter the second half of 2026, our focus remains clear:

  • Expanding GRIP to additional institutions
  • Deepening strategic partnerships
  • Advancing women’s leadership across Africa and the diaspora
  • Investing in youth through mentorship, internships, and financial literacy
  • Supporting community-driven development initiatives
  • Delivering a memorable and impactful 10-Year Anniversary celebration

The progress of H1 2026 reflects what is possible when vision is matched with action. We remain committed to building leaders, creating opportunities, and shaping a future of inclusive and sustainable growth across Africa and its global diaspora.
